ArchLIGHT Summit Call for EXTRAORDINARY Speakers —Experiential learning, diverse voices and bold honesty to define sessions at the September 21-22, 2021 event for the architectural, specification and design communities— Calling all innovators: Have you been wanting to present information in a truly different way, interact with your audience, use props or hands-on demonstrations? Are you tired of case studies that hide the reality of failure and on-the-fly adaptation behind the glossy veneer of a perfectly executed project? Are you frustrated with a lack of diverse voices and abundance of safe subject matter in traditional seminar tracks? Are you ready to be honest, be collaborative, and most importantly, be yourself? If so, we’d love to give you a forum to let your info flag fly at the inaugural ArchLIGHT Summit, September 21-22, 2021. We’re committed to being boldly different and actively inclusive in every aspect of our event, including the presenters we partner with. So if you’ve had an idea for an engaging demonstration or discussion that hasn’t fit the mold of a traditional trade show or conference, let us give it the platform it deserves. “Our goal is to redefine educational experiences at trade shows, leveraging our unique permanent marketplace and inviting presenters who offer out-of-the-box ways of conveying information and voices that welcome a platform to the architectural, specification and design communities,” said Laura Van Zeyl, Vice President of Lighting Technology Development & Marketing at Dallas Market Center. The show’s mission is to create something fearlessly new driven by three progressive goals: Showcase Only The Best. Be Boldly Inclusive. Be Radically Playful. To accomplish these goals the show is working hand-in-hand with industry thought leaders on shaping the show with a diverse group of perspectives as well as creating hands-on product interaction and forward-thinking seminars and sessions. In addition to the seminars, hands-on lab learning, and panel discussions, attendees will also be able to experience engaging displays and learning labs, receptions and tours within the permanent lighting showrooms participating in the show. A full schedule will be announced spring 2021. ArchLIGHT Summit organizers are working closely with an Advisory Board of distinguished industry leaders who provide valuable perspectives for shaping this groundbreaking event and its educational programming. Members include Francesca Bastianini, IES, principal of Sighte Studio; Craig A. Bernecker, Ph.D., founder of The Lighting Education Institute; Andrea Hartranft, FIALD, principal of Hartranft Lighting Design; Archit Jain, IALD, LEED SP, ISLA, principal of Oculus Light Studio; Kelly Roberts, LEED BD+C, IES, studio director of Wald Studio; Laura McDonald Stewart, FASID, RID, LEED AP, WELL AP, founder and owner of Laura McDonald Enterprises and PLiNTH & CHiNTZ; and Kevin L.
